Back from AZ

Published by Cyndi under All

Hi, we’re back from the warm southwest.  I really didn’t want to come back, especially knowing what lousy weather we were coming back to.  Why do I live here again?  It was really nice and relaxing.  We had some pool time and spent time with family.  It is so beautiful there.  We hope to retire there someday…anyway the market is closed now and it’s time to catch up on all the housework.   I started doing some booking for 2009.  I guess that means we are doing it for another year!  I saw Kath last night.  She mentioned the song “Fine Line” by Little Big Town.  She said she heard it and thought that it was definitely a Rainbow Bridge song.  I told her that I thought so too and that we were planning on learning it.  I really like that song.  It’s my new ring tone.  Hopefully we will get on that one soon.  This weekend we are at Countryside.  Hopefully it won’t snow or anything.  Come out and see us. God Bless.

It’s been awhile

Published by Cyndi under Uncategorized

Wow I haven’t written since Sept and Oct is almost over.  I have been busy in the pumpkin patch I guess.  We’ve had some good weekends this month.  Halloween weekend should be fun as always.  I just got home from the Owl’s club. Bob, Angie, Trevor and I set up and Bob got most of the Halloween Decorations up. We still have a few loose ends to tie up but we have some new surprises for this year.  The market closes on Friday and once again I’m off to Arizona with Bryan, his sister Donna, his Mom and his Aunt , and my Dad and Stepmom.  We’ve got a bunch going this year.  We leave Sunday morning real early.  I’m glad we are setting the clocks back Saturday night.  That extra hour of sleep will really be nice.  I still haven’t decided on a costume yet.  I’m sure I’ll figure out something.  Hope to see alot of gouls and goblins out.  You don’t want to miss it.  Bob’s decorations alone are worth seeing.  See you all there!! love, Cyndi

Busy Week

Published by Cyndi under All

Hi everyone,  Sometimes it feels like I’ll never catch up.  So much going on and not enough time.  My mom is in the hospital with complications from her diabetes and copd.  My sister and aunt were down on Sunday to figure out what we are going to do.  We will probably have to put her in a nursing home for awhile anyway until she can take care of herself again.  Also Bryan’s uncle passed away on Sunday of cancer.  We have the funeral and visitation Wed and Thurs.   The market has been pretty busy with the pumpkin season going full force.  Wednesday I will be doing another single job for Target at the Milwaukee Grill.  Thanks again Doug!  Anyway life is busy for me this week.   Only a few weeks and the market closes and I will have more time to catch up on all the work I have to do at home.  Hope to see you all at Knutes and Summer’s Pub this weekend.  Take care, Cyndi

Countryside

Published by Cyndi under Uncategorized

Strange weekend… Friday was a little slow but Saturday was pretty busy.  We did a couple new songs which was fun. Deb Gutheridge who used to come out to hear the band years ago came out with some friends from Spring Green.  It was nice to see her.  Tim decided that he will not be running sound every week any longer.  He feels that some of the clubs don’t need the full set up so he will be only running sound at Tremor’s, and bigger jobs or special occations like Halloween and New years Eve etc.  We will be running sound from the stage.  Trevor will still be running lights and the web cam regularly.  I’m sure it will work out fine.  Tim is still letting us use his gear which is really nice cause he does supply us with alot of equipment.  He will also continue to maintain the website.  Jason will take over the trailer pulling job.

I have been working at the Market everyday and it’s really looking like Fall out there.  I hope you can all come out and visit me.  We have hayrides on the weekends and it really looks nice. (if I say so myself). I do the decorating and the pumpkin painting.  It is a fun job.  Hope to see you all at Johnny’s Office this Saturday 9-1. We are off on Friday.  I’m playing another job for Target on Wednesday night.  Thanks Doug!

Have a great week.

I’m Back

Published by Cyndi under Uncategorized

I was in a lousy mood last night.  I need to write some nice stuff too!  We learned a new song and it seemed to go over pretty good.  All I wanna Do By Sugarland.  It is a fun one to play.  I came home from church on Sunday and the CNN news bus was parked at the market.  I guess they saw the pumpkin from the interstate and decided to find us.  They stayed most of the day and did some live broadcasts out in front of the market.  They gave us a tour of the bus and Rich Longhenry took them all to lunch in his bus.  It was really cool.  Broadcasting live from Milton WI.  They gave us hats and were really nice.  Not what I was planning for Sunday but a nice surprise.  It was even on WCLO this morning!  Anyway you never know… That pumpkin was a good idea!  Fall is sure in the air today.  I’m not ready for summer to be over yet. I’m sure it isn’t.  I think we are going to Missouri this weekend.  It is the aniversary of Bryan’s dad’s passing.  We usually go down there to the cemetary.  See you all next weekend.  Be happy till we meet again.

Owl’s Club

Published by Cyndi under Uncategorized

Hi, the Owl’s club was kind of slow on Friday night but those who did show stuck around thanks to Doug and Deb and their group.  Saturday was a little better.  I heard that we had some pretty rude coments on the webcast Saturday night.  It’s too bad that it has to be that way.  The goal is to get the music out for all to hear. If you don’t have something constructive or nice too say maybe nothing should be said at all.  Whoever was on there that was named “Hot for Bob” was out of line and I think some feelings were hurt.  If you have coments about the music then fine. But calling the band names and being childish is uncalled for. if it continues I’m not so sure that we will continue the webcasts.  It’s distracting and ruins the whole purpose. It’s not fair to Tim and Trevor when they are trying to do their jobs. It just ticked me off.  I just needed to get that off my mind, and this is the place to do it.   See you in a couple of weeks.

50?? Are you kidding???

Published by Cyndi under Uncategorized

Yes, I am officially 50 years old, half way to 100, and I don’t know when this happened.  Yesterday I was just 25 now all of the sudden its 25 years later. What?? Anyway I will never except the fact that I’m old.   Bryan surprised me with a great party on Sunday and I was so happy to see everyone. Thank you for the good wishes and gifts and for just being there to celebrate with me.  I do remember most of it, although it gets a little foggy toward the end when the chocolate fountain spilled on me….did I tell you that I don’t normally drink tequilla?? How about never??  How about never again. All in all I had the best time and I have the greatest friends and family and husband in the world.  Thank you every one.  See you in 50 years when I turn 100.

How You Doin’?

Published by Cyndi under Uncategorized

Summer is flying by.   Hope all is well.  I’m down to 2 kittens.  We are keeping the last 2.  Smokey the mom is missing. I haven’t seen her in a few days.  I hope she is ok.  Kami took Paris.  So far she hasn’t brought her back so her mom must have been ok with it.  We are pretty busy at the Farm and the market.  The corn is sooo good right now.   We have been enjoying it.  Dylan finished drivers ed and will have his temps in a month.  Corey is back to work after a short lay off from Morgan.  I have been catching up on yard work and have been starting to harvest the cucumbers and other things in the garden.  Yea my life is somewhat borring these days.  I really enjoyed the party we played last Saturday in Fort.  It was a 50th aniversary party. It was so neat to see a couple married for that long and still so happy and full of life.    Tim’s birthday is the 12th so everyone come out to Tremor’s and wish him a happy birthday.  Of course my birthday is the 17th.  Goody goody.  I don’t feel old…. it’s only a number I guess.  I intend to fight  old age as long as I can.   Hopefully I got a few good years left!!!!  Music keeps you young. Football season should be interesting.  I am really feeling weird about it.  I am a huge Brett fan and am having a hard time excepting that he won’t be there.  I’m looking for a JETS jersey.  Am I bad?  Be good and stay happy. Love, Cyndi

I’m Better…

Published by Cyndi under Uncategorized

Jeff and I have been talking to Rich to try and make sense of the situation.  He says it was a mix up and that he really didn’t mean to do it on purpose.  I guess I’m not used to stuff like that.  We have had very little trouble with this sort of thing in the past 30 + years.  I’m sure we’ve been very fortunate about not being on the other end of  things.  I’m sure alot of bands haven’t been as lucky.  Hopefully, this is an isolated incident and we will continue to play without too many problems.  We do this because it is fun and to make extra income.  If it causes stress it isn’t worth it.  I guess I can choose to make it stressful  or I can choose to not let it bother me.  Most of you know me and I usually choose to let things roll off.  So, maybe I’m wishy washy…. but oh well.  I hate confrontation and I probably always will.  I’m sure if the chips were down and it was something of real importance I would be a force to reckon with.  But I’m not going to dwell on this now. But…..If it happens again….look out!!!

Cyndi isn’t happy.

Published by Cyndi under Uncategorized

I’m pretty ticked off right now.  The Countryside cancelled our last two Fridays that we had booked there.  Bryan and I went out there last Friday night and they had a big crowd with a birthday party.  Now this week they have Automatic booked for Friday night.  That is dirty in my book.  I can understand if they would be honest and say that we just don’t fit the club and that they want to draw a younger crowd etc.  But you should honor the dates  and just not book us next year.  We depend on the income we make in the band and it isn’t right to just cancel on a whim. I don’t think I care to play there anymore.  Tremor’s would never treat us like that nor would Owl’s Club.   I will be telling them how much we appreciate them.  Tell me what you all think…I think it sucks!!
